Apsan Park is conveniently located within 4.5km of downtown Daegu, making it an ideal place to visit on a sunny afternoon. The name Aspan is derived from the Korean word ‘Ap,’ which means ‘in front of.’ Thus, being located in front of the city of Daegu, the park was named Apsan. The park belongs to Nam-gu, Suseong-gu, and Dalseo-gu and features 8 valleys (both large and small), over 20 natural mineral springs, and an abundance of walking trails. In addition, there is a monument to honor the fallen soldiers of the Korean War, an archery range, a horse riding range, Nambu library, and physical training facilities. Even if you’re just looking forward to relaxing, the surrounding forest of oak and Korean white pines makes this park a therapeutic destination.
