Donghwasa Temple

Mt.Palgeongsan is known as the sanctuary of Buddhism which also holds 11 treasures. As you enter the ‘Gate of the Phoenix’, to your left will be the biggest stone Buddha, known as the ‘Unification Pharmacist Buddha’ with a height of 30m and width if 16.5m. This was formed in 1992 and is considered a landmark within Donghwasa. As you follow the river stream, and walk across the ‘Haetalgyo’, you approach ‘Bongseori’and ‘Daeungjeon’. As you hunt down treasures within Biro-am’’ and ‘Geumdang-am’the ‘fragrance’ of the thousands years’ worth of knowledge accumulate will surround you and accumulate.

It was close to the city as it was, but now due to Line 3 opening, the Suseongmot Lake is as close as it can ever be. Donghwasa Temple

동화사

Mt. Palgongsan is known as the sanctuary of Buddhism which also holds 11 treasures. As you enter the ‘Gate of the Phoenix’, to your left will be the biggest stone Buddha, known as the ‘Unification Pharmacist Buddha’ with a height of 30m and width if 16.5m. This was formed in 1992 and is considered a landmark within Donghwasa. As you follow the river stream, and walk across the ‘Haetalgyo’, you approach ‘Bongseori’and ‘Daeungjeon’. 문무대왕릉과 감은사지

You can see 2 towers when looking towards the East Sea from Gyeongju, with a temple acting as a guardian.
