Gwandeokjeong, created by King Yeongjo of the Joseon Dynasty, was used for training horses, holding government meetings, having parties, and for executing punishments. The phoenix stone at the entrance was used to punish Catholic followers, and is most famous for being the site of the execution of Dong-hak founder Jaewu Choi. Gwandeokjeong was restored in 1997 by the Catholic Daegu Church as a martyr memorial site. Business Hours: Winter : 09:30-18:00 , Summer : 09:30-18:00
