The Daegu Gyesan-dong Church was designed and built under the direction of Father A.P. Robert, but was burnt down within the following year. It was completely rebuilt in 1902. It is the only building in Daegu that retains its early 20th century appearance. It generally follows a Romanesque design, but it has some Gothic elements, including spires and stained-glass windows.
