The Daegu-Yeoksa was established in 1904 when the Gyeongbu railway was under construction at the same time. The Daegu castle, the very first business activities venue of Daegu, was located near the north gate of Daegu city in 1906 before it was torn down. The average passengers to get on/get off are 10,500/11,500 everyday, with Gyeongbu Line run as Daegu-Seoul, Daegu-Busan, Daegu- Pohang and Daegu-Jinju etc. There are 252 train numbers everyday with passenger line of 54 for Saemaeul-ho, 104 for Mugunghwa-ho and 14 for Tongil-ho; freight line of outward/backhaul of 70/10; tourist train of 1~2 every month. There are also Jeongdongjin tourist train (1-night train), as well as Yeosu-Odong Island, Muchangpo and Chungjuho (1-day) available.
